Kim Kardashian's BFF LaLa Anthony Says "She's an Amazing Mom," Baby North West Is "Doing Wonderful"

Kim Kardashian's BFF LaLa Anthony is giving us an update on how the new mom and her baby daughter North West are doing just two weeks after the star gave birth.

"She's doing great," LaLa told News exclusively at yesterday's 2013 BET Awards in L.A. "She's an amazing mom. The baby's doing wonderful."

While LaLa says she talks to Kim "every day," she has yet to make a visit to see Kim and meet little Nori. "I haven't because I've been in Vegas on the movie [Think Like a Man Too] and today I'm only here for a few hours," she dished, adding, "but I wrap on Wednesday and my plan is to shoot back to L.A. and spend some time with them."

"She says she's adjusting really, really well and she's doing amazing," LaLa gushed of Kim, who welcomed little North on June 15. "I always knew that she would, because she's maternal as it is. She wants to take care of people all the time. So I knew she had it in her, but she's adjusting amazingly."

LaLa says new dad Kanye West, 36, is also doing well since he and Kim welcomed their first child together. "Absolutely, it's a beautiful time in their life," she said.

As for parenting advice? LaLa, who has 6-year-old son Kiyan with her NBA star husband, Carmelo Anthony, laughed, "I give her advice without her having to ask me."


Back before Kim gave birth, LaLa shared with us some very important pre-parenting advice for the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star. "I told her get all the sleep you can now!" she told us at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon in Beverly Hills back in February, months before little Nori arrived. "That's my advice. Get all the sleep you can now.”
