Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross Hold Hands, Fuel Dating Rumors

Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross certainly make for an interesting duo.

On Monday, Jessica Simpson's kid sister was snapped holding hands with Diana Ross' son as they left the Sunset Marquis Hotel in L.A.

Ashlee, 28, looked cute and summery in a flower-printed romper. Evan, 24, took a darker approach to his look, wearing black from head to toe—including a floor-length cardigan/cape/coverall of sorts.

The duo were photographed the same day looking pretty cozy in West Hollywood.  Later that night, they were spotted leaving Teddy's Nightclub in Hollywood. An onlooker told People Ashlee was showing off her sexy dance moves to the tune of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody."

Ashlee was previously linked to Boardwalk Empire's Vincent Piazza, but the couple split amicably this past November.

Of course, dating is far from the only thing on the "Bat for a Heart" singer's mind! She and ex-husband Pete Wentz are the proud parents of 4-year-old Bronx Mowgli Wentz. Plus, since the birth of Jessica's son Ace Knute Johnson on Sunday, Ashlee's auntie duties have doubled!

Fortunately, Bronx will probably be happy to have another cousin. According to Pete, the little boy already loves Jessica's firstborn child, 1-year-old Maxwell Drew Johnson. "Bronx definitely hangs out with Maxwell," he told Ryan Seacrests KIIS FM show in April. "He loves having a cousin...He likes being the big cousin, like being the big boy in the room, so that's fun."

Pete also said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in April that Ashlee is "an awesome mom, adding, "We get along really well when it comes to our kid now."

He even praised papa Joe Simpson, saying, "I think he is a really great grandfather…Really good guy."


So if things do get serious between Evan and Ashlee—and even if they don't work out—at least Diana's son knows he's hanging around a lady with an awesome, loving family.
